Summer Art Camp 2026

Woo-hoo! Summer is almost here and it’s time for fun fun fun! I’m teaching several different summer camps for ArtsQuest at Moravian University’s South Campus in Bethlehem. My week long classes are for middle school students (entering grades 6-8) or high school students (entering grades 9-12). Each camp is focused on a specific artistic medium, allowing the campers to explore and build their skills. No prior experience is needed for any of the camps.

Acrylic Painting (Grades 9-12)

June 10-12, 12:30-3:30pm

Make fun paintings and learn how to work with acrylic paints and use good brush techniques to bring your creations to life on the canvas.


Amigurumi Crochet (Grades 9-12)

June 15-19, 12:30-3:30pm

Amigurumi crochet is the Japanese art of crocheting stuffed animals and figures from yarn. You’ll learn the basics of crochet, and special techniques used in amigurumi to sculpt your three-dimensional creations.


LED Plushie Monsters (Grades 6-8)

June 22-26, 12:30-3:30pm

For motivated learners looking for a challenge! Make a stuffed plushie that lights up. You’ll learn the basics of hand sewing to make your own little monster, then build an LED circuit to light up your creation.


Acrylic Painting (Grades 6-8)

Intro to Sewing (Grades 9-12)

July 6-10, 12:30-3:30pm

Learn how to sew by hand and how to use a sewing machine while making fun projects! You’ll learn functional and decorative sewing techniques while customizing your creations with your own designs.


LEDs in Art (Grades 9-12)

July 13-17, 12:30-3:30pm

For motivated learners looking for a challenge! Learn how to make artwork that lights up with LED circuits. This class will focus on paper circuits, sewable circuits, and wearable circuits. You’ll learn electronics basics and different ways to incorporate LED lights into your projects.


Needle Felting (Grades 9-12)

July 20-24, 12:30-3:30pm

Try out the creative possibilities of needle felting! You’ll learn how to create 3D and 2D artworks from wool while making your fun, fuzzy projects. This class will cover a variety of techniques to create wool art, and the different types of tools and fiber used.
